North Lauderdale Home Projects

1980 - 35 years Old

"We now had 3 children and after Commuting to work for 4 years
in Ft Lauderdale from West Palm Beach and Stating a New Job as
a Cad Manager with Motorola in Plantation, It was Time to Move."

As my luck Goes, This was a Expensive time to Move, We
Sold the House for $35,000 and Rented a apartment in the
the North Lauderdale Area for about 8 months. During this
period of time Home prices doubled and interest rates shot
to an unbelievable 17% ! We Found a New 3/2 - 1 car garage
Home already built, in the unfinished development called "The
Fountains of Tam O'Shanter" for sale for $70K. I bargained
with the Builder, finally got it for $65K, because the original
buyer could not buy it at the higher interest rate.

I would later refinance it down to a more reasonable rate !

 Well a few months after moving into our new 3/2 house,
We get word that my Wife's Brother Khanh, who had escaped
from then Communist Vietnam to Singapore, Needed a family
to Sponsor him so he could come to the United States to live..

So, Of Course I said Yes to the Wife

We were one Bedroom Short again !"

The development was only about half finished at this time,
so I took my Camera, Tape measure, Notebook and Pen to
document the proper way of Constructing the Wood frame
 stucco addition that I wanted to build. The house we bought
was idea to add on to... No accident.. I knew some day I would.

Well, You Notice all the Construction Material that I am
Packing into the Garage ... Building Plans done, Approved
and City Building Permits in hand.

Starting digging for the Foundation
